So a tall woman in a colorful dress walks up to me and says, “Can you recommend some striptease music?”

I blink. “Um, I’m not sure.” And into the radio we all wear, “Hey, can anyone recommend any striptease music?”

There’s a long silence. Finally, Andy, from the office, “I’m just trying to get your voice asking that out of my head.”

I tell her I’m going to find someone who can help and ask her to browse through the CDs. I head to the back. Roger shakes his head and laughs and walks by. Phil says he has no idea. “But, you can check the Carmen Electra striptease video and see what she dances to. It’s in the fitness section.”

I head toward CDs, confidently. “Okay,” I say. “No one here, believe it or not, can recommend any striptease music. But, there was a suggestion to check out Carmen Electra’s DVD and see what she dances to.”

“No,” she says. “She’s my friend and we’re actually looking for new music.”

“Oh.”

We search the computer for striptease music. The computer is as helpful as always and she heads to the Virgin Megastore humming a Herb Albert tune.

So, what do you think? Legit or full of shit? I’m inclined toward the former, but only because it makes me look cooler.
