Puritans eating fucking shit from the ass
I don’t have it in front of me, but Jon Stewart, in the Daily Show’s America: The Book said something like this: “The Pilgrims came to America to be free to practice the most oppressive form of Christianity known to man.” The Puritans. Our Christian loving contemporaries should keep in mind that the Puritans were the first to ban Christmas in America. Our “Christian” heritage is nothing more than a brutal lie. And it would be laughable if it didn’t continue to this day.
The FCC. What do they do? They decide what speech is acceptable. Despite the quaint First Amendment which starts out “Congress shall make no law…” And yet, here is a government entity telling us what speech is acceptable and which is not.
I am writing about the PBS/Ken Burns documentary The War. Now, I don’t like Ken Burns. I think he’s an egotistical asshat. But he does make kick ass documentaries. And, despite the fact that “The War” often refers to the first world war, The War is about America’s involvement in the second world war. America likes to dis-remember we weren’t involved in either until we had to be. Nazis running across Europe, what do we care? American leadership indeed.
But PBS–Public Broadcast Station–stations are afraid to air this documentary because it contains “vulgar” words. Two fucks, one shit and one ass, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Now I served in the army for a little bit. You cannot have an accurate documentary about the military, especially the military in war, without a liberal dosing of fuck, shit, fucking shit, fucking ass, and fuck this shit thrown in.
So sorry Puritans. The military that protects you and all you hold sacred drinks massive amounts of beer and whiskey, fucks prostitutes, and swears. And most of them don’t even believe in a god or go to church. Can you blame them? They’re surrounded by disaster and shit, dead bodies and pain, bullets, guns and steel. Get out of my country.
