Here we go again. The Christians are being persecuted for their brainless ideas. Guillermo Gonzalez is a fellow at the hilariously named Discovery Institute which, among other things, “supports research by scientists and other scholars developing the scientific theory known as intelligent design.” Fine. But Gonzalez also works at Iowa State University.

What, you may be asking yourself, is a crazy intelligent designer doing working in the physics and astronomy department at a respected state school? I have no idea, but yesterday he was denied tenure. Hooray for the home team!

Dr. Gonzalez says he’s hurt and has filed an appeal. “I believe that I fully met the requirements for tenure at ISU.” He believes a lot of things. I believe he’ll soon be working full-time for the Discovery Institute. Good riddance.
