Soldier: Commanding officer told me to lie

We desperately need our heroes and hero stories. This is why we were taught to worship slave-owning white men in grade school and pledged allegiance to the flag every morning. We’re a Christian nation and refuse to see the evil we do. We deny it. And that, not freedom or capitalism, is why they hate us. And why they won’t stop until they finally kill us. They know we’ll never change. And so do we.
